Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine is the branch of medicine dealing with the diagnosis and medical treatment of diseases and disorders of the internal structures of the human body.  Internal medicine doctors are fully trained specialists in the medical care of adults, much as pediatricians are trained in the care of children.  Because of their thorough and scientific approach, Internists are especially adept in diagnosing and treating patients with a wide variety of ailments, including hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis, anemia, fatigue and depression, just to name a few.
 
Cardiology
Cardiology is a field of medicine many have become familiar with due to the high incidence of heart disease in our society.  Accurate diagnosis of heart disease and related disorders is essential for recommending and administering a plan of treatment.
 
Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology is the study of diseases of the stomach, esophagus, small and large intestine, as well as related structures of the liver biliary system, gallbladder and pancreas.  Some common disorders specific to the practice of Gastroenterology include heartburn, ulcers, constipation, chronic diarrhea, hemorrhoids, gallstones and difficulty in swallowing.
 
Hematology
Hematology is the area of medicine dealing specifically with blood related disorders.
 
Neurology
Neurology is the area of medicine dealing specifically with the brain and peripheral nerves.  Headaches, seizures, Parkinson's disease, back pain, Carpal Tunnel syndrome and strokes are some of the reasons a Neurologist may be consulted.
 
Oncology
Oncology involves the study of tumors for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.  The incredible amount of ongoing research in this field has resulted in different types and combinations of cancer treatments, including surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, which is performed here at the clinic.  Appropriate screening can lead to early diagnosis, which allows the patient to derive optimum benefit from the recommended treatment.
 
Pulmonary Medicine
Pulmonary medicine is the treatment of diseases of the chest.  Your family physician may refer you to a pulmonologist if you have emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia or any other lung problem.  Sleep disorders, due to breathing difficulties are also treated within this department.
